Welcome to Spalding’s Coach Training Course. This course prepares participants to become effective Spalding coaches. Participants are taught to successfully coach teachers who are implementing and refining THE SPALDING METHOD® procedures.
This course includes two parts:
Part 1: Online Training
Part 1 includes online training videos and assignments. This self-paced portion of the course must be completed within a three-week time period. Failure to complete all coursework will forfeit onsite observation dates.
There are about 85 minutes of video to watch. Additional time is needed to complete the assignments. Please plan accordingly.
Part 2: Coaching Days with Spalding Executive Trainer
Part 2 includes two onsite coaching days with a Spalding Executive Trainer (ET). The ET assigned to your school site will contact you regarding the observation schedule.
Please Note: The onsite coaching dates will be held at the initial participant’s school site.
Course Learning Management System (LMS)
The purpose of the Learning Management System, LMS, is simply to facilitate coursework during the course. Once a participant receives a final grade and certificate from the course, the course may be removed. We do not expect a participant to access his/her course after the course is completed.
It is best practice to save all assignments uploaded into the LMS to a personal computer in case resubmission is necessary.
