Throughout the grades all aspects of words and word parts are learned: pronunciation, spelling, meaning, structure and usage. Instruction is integrated so skills are reinforced through practice and application. Narrative, informative and informative-narrative compositions continue including reports, persuasive writing, poetry, and literary response essays.
